The Alena Resort a Pramana Experience

I had the pleasure of staying at The Alena Resort for 16 nights, and from the very first moment I felt like I was at home. The entire team went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, memorable, and filled with warmth. Every smile, every gesture of care, and every thoughtful detail reflected the true spirit of Balinese hospitality. The resort itself is beautiful – surrounded by nature, with peaceful gardens, a serene pool, and spacious rooms that are both elegant and comfortable. Daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, and small touches such as fresh flowers or greetings from staff made me feel truly cared for. Breakfast and dining were exceptional, offering both local and international choices, always fresh and delicious. The spa and wellness experiences were deeply relaxing, and the staff made sure I had everything I needed to completely unwind. What made the biggest difference, however, was the people. Each member of the team was attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help with genuine kindness. After 16 nights, I truly felt I was leaving friends behind, not just a hotel. If you are looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity, and heartfelt service, I cannot recommend The Alena Resort enough. It is not just a resort – it is an experience of connection, relaxation, and genuine hospitality. I will definitely return.

We stayed at the Royal Villa and never expected that the name of the villa would reflect so perfectly the quality of treatment. The team headed by Dewa, made us feel like actual royals. Their sympathy and care was genuine and immense, and made us feel like we never wanted to leave the hotel again. The room was big and comfortable and the pool area was beautiful and carefully taken care of. Breakfast was always delicious, no matter the order. Transfer to Ubud was always available at the requested time. It was truly a 6-star experience!

Our honeymoon at the Royal Villa at Alena was everything we hoped for and more. The staff treated us as royalty from the moment we arrived, with incredible 24/7 service that made every day effortless and special. Without a doubt, the Royal Villa is an amazing choice for a honeymoon. From the private driver into Ubud, to the fresh fruit and snacks delivered daily, to the luxurious spa facilities, every detail went above and beyond. It was worth every penny and we would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you again to all the staff for their kindness and care.

The Alena is a beautiful resort. From the moment you arrive the staff are so kind, greeting you with a welcome drink and towel and taking your luggage to the room for you. The manager Dewa was particularly helpful and gave us an incredible room upgrade. The tropical gardens are stunning and the 2 main pools and spa were great. Because the hotel was so nice we actually didn’t leave it for a whole 24 hours and ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner! The food was great, in particular the breakfast delivered to the villa. Highly recommend the dragon fruit smoothie and pancakes. I also used the jacuzzi, sauna and spa where I had a massage. The 15 mins free massage for guests is a nice touch and I felt truly relaxed after a 75 mins free massage massage. I did the free Balinese offering class which was interesting. They also offer yoga and rice paddie walks but I didn’t get round to trying those. There is a free shuttle to Ubud but we didn’t end up using it as preferred to relax at the resort after already exploring hectic Ubud. The staff were also helpful with organising our transport to Sanur port. Overall a truly relaxing and rejuvenating stay and I hope to come back to the Alena again in future. It’s an absolute paradise and the customer service is incredible.

The food was delicious at every meal, and the whole setting was peaceful and relaxing, a true escape from the bustle of everyday life. The free shuttle to Ubud was also very convenient and made exploring the area effortless. Nothing was ever too much to ask; every request was met with a smile. The staff’s warmth and friendliness made it feel like a home away from home. This was the perfect stay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
